Hanohill Farm has been in operation for over 20 years. Susan Oppenlaender owner/operator of Hanohill farm brings 35 years of professional horse experience to the farm. Boarding, training and rehabilitating horses of all varieties, desciplines and stages of life. From the retired veteran show horse to the up and coming youngsters. Specializing in retired horses with specific dietary needs.
Hanohill Farm is also branching out into the sales, leasing and part-boarding of quality horses.
"I watched two clinics with Walter Zettle and saw Susan Oppenlaender ride. I admired her riding style and rapport with the horse. So, when I was looking for a new barn, I asked her if she would take me as a boarder. She agreed and thus started the most fun, challenging, and wonderful 14 years of my riding life. My horse, Samson arrived at Susan’s facility and immediately relaxed: he mostly slept for two days! Susan was not intimidated by his size and treated him with kindness. She also noticed that Samson had an overbite and could not eat oats easily. As a result, she formulated a feed program that was more appropriate. The new feed program, the secure environment and the kind treatment helped Samson relax and thrive. He gained weight, found a paddock buddy, and stretched his wings."
